First pack Sitka vs Mystery Ranch

Hey guys, been reading the forums for a while now but just joined. Lots of great information so far! I am looking at the Sitka hauler 6200 and the mystery ranch metcalf. I was wondering if any of y'all had any pro/cons of the Sitka hauler or the metcalf. Thanks again for any info!

To be honest I would maybe look into the Stonge Glcaier packs instead. We are a dealer for Sitka as well as stone glacier. I will run the SG packs over a Sitka pack any day if the week (for big game). It is going to be way lighter, a lot more comfortable and not so bulky. Mystery ranch does not fit my needs and is very heavy in my opinion. They do make great stuff, but i feel like the better all around pack is going to be a Stone Glacier by far.

I really enjoy my MR pop up 28 it feels great to me but try them both on and go with what feels more comfortable to you

The old statement of mystery ranch being so much heavier than everyone is over used. It comes from a lot of guys talking about the old NICE frame systems. I don't currently own mystery ranch just contributing to the subject at hand. Look at the weights of all mystery ranch packs. Compare them across the board to the similiar size packs in other brands and they're all within 1lb. If that is considered way heavier then. Maybe you should quit running a stone glacier and drop another pound or more by switching to a seek outside. No offense Scott but this isn't the first time I've seen you add in on forum topics promoting a brand the OP wasn't originally inquiring about (usually one you sell). I see you don't carry mystery ranch products.

And, in the interest of full disclosure, when all the pockets and add-ons required to make a Kifaru equal the features of a Mystery Ranch Beartooth or Seek Outside Lanner, the Kifaru will handily outweigh the MR. Even a Stone Galcier will approach MR weights when equally equipped.

Both will cost considerably more after the add-ons necessary to make them nearly the same are added.

Stone glacier is a minimalist pack, designed around back country hunting. We promote it, because it is what we believe in. Everyone has their own opinion on thigs and they are allowed to have them. I just want people to have options. We are one of the largest Sitka dealers in the US, and we push people towards Stone Glacier instead of Sitka packs because the SG pack is a better built pack. That's for all hunting needs.

You can ask around we only sell what we believe in.

The Mystery Ranch Metcalf weights 6.1lbs
Stone Glacier 5900 Weights is 5.8 lbs
SItka Mountain hauler weights 6.4 lbs

This being said and having used all 3 ME Personally I like Stone Glacier and will always tell people to look at SG. It is way more comfortable, a lot easier to use, and the load shelf is rated at 150+lbs, no it doesn't have the Optifade pattern, but it is a way better built pack than the other two.

Goodness stop lol
All the major pack brands are well built and saying otherwise is untrue. Also it may fit better for YOU and its obviously what you promote because it's what you sell. The OP was asking about specific packs and to jump in here and try to make a sale isn't hard for everyone to see. And btw I have owned a stone galcier along with kifaru, kuiu, and mystery ranch so I'm no fanboy and I don't stand to make a dollar off this.

^^^This. A couple of the retailers here are a bit aggressive with throwing shade on brands that they don't sell.
