I have both, the FL is half as warm, I also have the Stone Glacier Grumman and it is warmer then the Fl but not sure if its as warm as the Kifaru, will know in a month.

Well what’s the verdict? Grumman warmth as good as LPP?

I didn’t read both pages of replies, but I can tell you from experience that the Uncompahgre isn’t even in the same realm of warmth as the Kifaru LPP. Honestly, In my opinion, that Uncompahgre was the most worthless jacket I’d ever purchased. It was nice to sell it.

Got a Kifaru 3/4 zip for fall/winter hunts this year. It blows away the other puffy jackets I had in cold weather. I really like the massive handwarmer pockets in front. Bird hunting in cold weather I could leave my ungloved hand inside there and it was easy to extract it and shoot. Really handy.

Another big plus for me is it seems to be at the same price point as jackets made overseas. I am looking to support as many US manufacturers as I can. This jacket will be getting a lot of use from me.
