The Boundary Stormtight shell - A 2.5 layer jacket tested at 20k for water resistance and 31.5k for breathability. Tests were performed on finished fabric after camouflage printing.

The Uncompahgre puffy - 100 fill Cocona insulation in the body 60 fill in the arms and hood. Windproof, and highly breathable, as well as having a DWR coating and abrasion resistant forearms, elbows, and shoulders. The Cocona insulation in the Uncompahgre is unique in the fact that while it is a100 fill insulation, it feels much warmer than other 100 fill jackets due to the Coconas higher CLO(insulation) value. The increased breathability and accelerated evaporation property’s of the Cocona insulation also keeps you comfortable during hard efforts. The Uncompahgre is one of the most versatile jackets on the market.

The North Branch Softshell Pants - DWR coated cold weather pant designed to be worn when the weather is consistently under 50 degrees. The North Branch is highly breathable, extremely well vented via a six zipper vent system. For more info go to www.firstlite.com

Haven't used the rain jacket much but the puffy is going to do a lot of hunting this season.

Just picked it all up from the warehouse and am organizing it now! Hoping to have all the pre-orders boxed up tonight and to Fed ex in the morning.

Just posted this on my S&S Archery facebook page but thought I would share here as well. Getting quite a few questions about the weight of the new jackets. Just weighed the Uncompahgre Puffy and the Boundary Stormtight both size medium; each one with the tags on them came in at 19.6 oz.

I got mine yesterday. Very nice piece of gear. It was a bit crazy wearing it yesterday with the air conditioning going full blast. Thanks!

I just received my jacket. It will only be 97 degrees out today, I hope I stay warm. The jacket looks awesome, thanks Steve.

Yup. They are loud. I stuck it in the freezer for a bit and it got much worse. Was hoping to be able to use it as outter layer for late season bow hunting.

Other than that, I like it though.

After doing tons of R and D and testing a bunch of different fabrics in the rain and snow we determined that we needed to use a hard shell face fabric for the jacket. While a brushed fabric is significantly more quiet it does not shed water and once it is wet it takes a long long time to dry, especially living in a tent. Also brushed fabrics tend to breath less and almost have zero breathability once saturated. Knowing this it became our goal to find the most quiet hard shell we could and we believe we did. Also realize that if it is raining our hard shell gets significantly more quiet, plenty quiet for spot and stalk hunting. The Uncompahgre Has a slight crinkle when worn below freezing but has not been a problem for guys on the ground. A couple of our whitetail guys who are hunting super skittish deer put the puffy under a layer of merino for a dead silent tree system. thanks.

I understand...and think the way you guys went with it was the better direction, vs trying to make something less quiet and give up protection. It was more wishful thinking on my part than anything, with the noise. I knew they weren't going to be quiet. I'm not disappointed, just letting guys know it won't make the best outter layer jacket for a bow hunter.... I intend to use it as it was meant to be. It'll be quiet enough when layered underneath, and I'll be glad for the hard shell when I'm sitting on a hill glassing and getting wet!!! That's why I bought the First Lite to begin with. :)

Thanks

I wore my puffy this weekend and it was awesome. I gave it a durability test and wore it while I put up a treestand too. It came out no worse for the wear. I highly recommend it. It also breathed remarkably well and the hood provides extra warmth without impeding vision. Great job FirstLite and thanks again to Steve at S&S for gettting it to me in time for my trip.
