Does any one have experience with the new First Lite Grizzly Glove? I currently have the Kuiu Northstar and the Kuiu down mitts and was wondering about swapping those for the First Lite glove. If you have experience, I’m interested in the weight, warmth and waterproofness primarily. I think Id also look at using them for skiing too. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

These are brand new this year and won't start shipping until the end of June. I did check them out at the BHA Rendezvous and they looked and felt pretty dang nice. Anybody who has used them in winter conditions works for First Lite or is part of the pro staff.

Tim,
They are very waterproof. They are made with our 3.5 layer W/B fabric. the same as on the new Storm Tight SEAK. They are super warm. We designed them to be as warm as they can be and still run binos or a spotter with them on. During Jan when it was really cold here between everybody in the office they probably got 50+ days on the ski hill. Once it got over 10 degrees they are too warm to ski in. Thanks-Kenton

I've used them a bit, really impressed. the wool fleece liner is pretty unique and works very well. The cuff it a little short compared to a lot of deep winter mitts (OR firebrand is kinda my reference point) but this makes them much easier to get on and off and less fussy. the idiot cords are probably the best I've used on ANY mitt, very comfortable and functional, easy to take on and off, and the perfect length. Lots of dexterity for how thick it is, I could tie simple knots in 3mm guy line for a tent, and worked well for camp chores like wood prep or digging in the snow for tent setup.
My one complaint is the finger is too thick for most trigger guards, but this is probably just the price for not having a frozen index finger.

The wool fleece seemed to work better then most when you inevitably get snow in your mitt, the fuzzys keep it from traveling too deep inside and the wool handles moisture well.

I'm in Western Wa.so super cold is not an issue. What we get is day after day of unrelenting rain that will soak you to the bone while temps hover just above freezing.Do you offer anything that would be appropriate for that?If it allowed me to either release the string of a recurve while wearing it or get it off of one hand that would be even better
