no thats not it. . gold is their standard synthetic insulation they use on a synthetic puffy.

I love the Polartec alpha and primaloft evolve. Here’s the description of this FL fleece one: “Ultra-moisture wicking loose fill 37.5 fleece.”

Can’t tell what the heck that means. Alpha and evolve don’t wick, aren’t loose, and don’t have full.

Yeah, its a bit ambiguous. But a 30D shell and 12 oz tells us that it is likely something similar.

Go through all their pics and you can see it sure looks like an Apex/Evolve type insulation; guessing the 37.5 refers to weight of the inner fabric, but not sure what measurements they are using, so you could compare it to the weight of Apex/Evolve used in other garments

In the past, 37.5 is how they refer to almost everything regarding insulation.

If it’s similar to the ambient, it will be the first piece in a long time that I’d actually buy from them. In other words, a cheaper version with more solid options available.

The one I saw was only 20 bucks cheaper than the Grumman 329.99 vs 349.99 for 20 bucks I’m going stone glacier. Don’t know what the price on camo fire is

I love both my Ambient and my Grumman. But the Ambient isn't remotely comparable to the Grumman, two very different pieces for two totally different applications.
