Just got my corrugates today! they are awesome. not too skinny in the legs, either. I am 5' 10" around 160-165 lbs and 32x32 gives room to layer and should work nicely for this fall.

How are the knee pads, are you able to give any reference vs. Kuiu's welded design?

Looking hard at these as a replacement for my Pro's.

I have a pair shipped and on the way too if anyone needs pics once I get them. Excited to try them out. I was about to give up on First Lite but these will hopefully replace my Timberlines. We’ll see

got off a bit early. I am unsure how Kuiu's are, but they look to have the pads on the outside? FL's are on the inside. I attached some pics of the pad itself.

Just got my hands on a pair of corrugate foundry's. Just trying them on for the first time it appears first lite knocked it out of the park with these.

Only minor complaint trying them on is a swishy sound when the fabric rubs together (but it's designed in a streamlined way so I have to walk in an unnatural way for the pants to make that sound). Hopefully that'll resolve itself after a wash or two.

Hip vent zippers are the smoothest I've tried so far. Effortless zip open and closed. Waist size runs about an inch too big (ordered a 32, seems more like a 33). Knee pads are nice and quality but I think they'd get pretty hot after a while on a hot day with any significant distance hiked. Good thing they can be removed. Redesigned suspenders are money. Perfect fit and easy on and off for when nature calls (unlike the older obsidians I have).

Getting ready to list a bunch of pants for sale. These foundry's make multiple pairs I have redundant.

Glad you like them, also glad to hear they put out a good product. I'm seriously considering grabbing a pair now.

Mine arrived yesterday as well. First impression is these pants are everything I've wanted -- knee pads, waterproof seat and knees, and hip vents, all in a pant I can wear all season long. Fit was about the same as other pants I have in the same size (32). I did notice a little more noise than my Sitka Mountain Pants (I don't have any other First Lite pants to compare to). I'd say fabric is slightly lighter than the Mountains as well which is perfect for me. Looking forward to putting these through the paces turkey hunting the next couple weeks, then filming a brown bear hunt in Alaska in May.

So, I'm actually more wondering if I wasted money on the obsidian foundry (I'll still give em a try) but I'm not sure any situations I can think of where I wouldn't just go with the corrugate foundry. That may change depending on what they've done with the catalyst.

Thank you all. Please keep the hands-on feedback coming. I’m very interested in the Obsidians, and welcome any feedback on the length - especially anyone who ordered the 35 inch length.

I am curious what the weight is without the knee pads and suspenders? It didn't effect my decision to buy them, but the 27oz listed for their weight caught my attention and I chalked that up to being the suspenders and knee pads.
Mine arrive Friday.

I bought the corrugates.

the obsidians interest me. If I had one gripe about my kanabs and obsidians is they let water in constantly. They dried quick but it sucked to be walking through morning dew and soak my lower legs. I tried gators but it really caused me to preference pants like kuiu attacks per the obsidians in all but the driest conditions. The foundry version of the obsidians seem to address this issues I had. i will wait for a little more feedback but I am intrigued.

These are quickly becoming my favorite pants. They are very versatile, I can wear them from April to early November. I am not a fan of the knee pads and took them out.
Ryan, how do the new corrugates compare to the kuiu talus? I’ve seen you post about liking those in the past and seem pretty comparable

I am still waiting for my obsidians. First Lite did me dirty. I paid for a faster shipping option and they didn't send my pants out for a few days.

Yeah I ordered once they said available and just got tracking yesterday. Never had an issue before so I’m guessing it’s a demand issue, or rough China seas

I pulled the trigger on a pair. I'll most likely wear them on a backpack bear hunt in a few weeks.

Looking for a weight on them with or without suspenders/knee guards. That weight scared me off, but if it includes ~7oz of suspenders/knee guards then I think it's pretty good.
