Actual lightweight wool is very welcome. Rab's Meco is a merino/37.5 blend and the stuff is fantastic, great moisture management and very durable.

What's the extra half layer in 3.5 layer WPB laminate? That's a new one for me.

Dave I think the question is what is the extra layer total, I believe the storm tight was a 2.5, not totally sure, I also think it had something to do with the inner side of the shell, like the liner material, not 100 on that.

3 layer WPB is shell fabric, laminate, liner fabric. 2.5 layer (e.g. Goretex Paclite) uses a dot matrix in place of a full fabric liner. Maybe this new coat goes to 11.

Who knows, not much info on the 37.5 site and all I've seen it use in is snowboard gear. Wonder if the extra layer is strictly abrasion resistance?

Where have you seen this stuff before? I'm assuming that's what 'aerowool' is? I typically stay the hell away from merino blends, because I've found 100% to be the best for me, but I'd be interested in picking up a pair of dobson boxers for those triple digit summer hunts...

I love my Stormtight jacket except my seam tape on the inside is coming off. I'm gonna call them up and see about getting it redone. Other than that I'm good with all their gear.

So we know when we're going to see the new stuff on the site? I assume after they clear out some more of last years stuff

Hadn't had a chance to look at the catalog, but does anyone know if they'll carry the boundary storm tight pants next year or do I need to just pick some up now?

I also know that neoprene cuffs give up the ghost eventually, though they're great when new...

FL said in the Shot Show video that the cuffs aren't going to be in the final version, so good news there.

I agree. I love my boundary jacket and was hoping to pick one up in fusion this year. Doesn't look like I'll have that opportunity unless I find one used or leftover at a retailer

I have a like new (once used) set in large if interested. I think I'm going to swap for the vapor in brown.

Oh really?? That's huge news. Neoprene cuffs piss me off big time. Probably will shave a couple ounces off the weight too. I love my boundary but I'm interested, not yet convinced though, in swapping for a Seak.

The pants remain unchanged

I talked to First Lite yesterday and they said that the pants have been changed. New fit, cut, and most importantly - zippers. I was going to get a pair on sale but am waiting for the new ones for this very reason.

Ok, you got me. I forgot the tweaks they did! Dang.... But, still named the same and basically the same material. The double reinforced knees are a nice feature. thanks for catching my error, they are a legit pant for sure. .

No worries! I'm a fan of cocona and didn't know they had reinforced knees. That's another plus. I'm just running shorts, fleece leggings and (for the first time ever) rain pants next season. Trying manage heat while climbing but still having protection when needed.
