First Idaho Archery Hunt

I'm going on my first archery hunt for mule deer (possibly elk, not sure yet) in Idaho.

What are some do's and don't?

Any specific tips for archery hunting mulies?

I'm not looking for any trophies (yet) I just want to go out and shoot a doe. Anything I need to know about looking for does?

Anything helps! I appreciate any advice in advanced!

Don't shoot a doe. We just had the worst winter in over a decade, killing off breeding stock does is a major no-go.

Make sure you buy the archery permit. ID sells you the A-tag but you still need an archery license for bowhunting. You can't use a clarifyer or scope unless you have a special exception for it from your dr and a reasonable modification from ID. Certain areas with ORV trails you can use a ORV to take your camp in and out on but you can't hunt using the ORV on designated trails. Don't pass on something the first day that you'd shoot the last day.
