Was out calling coyotes in the woods and called this in - 10 yards at most. Was trying to get behind me and wind me but caught up in some rocks. Found a nice honey hole of coyotes too.

this was in NM - calling along the east edge of the manzano mountains near tajique. i guess we have both, but i was surprised as i was mostly using coyote vocals.
