My wife and I both got tags for New Mexico and got our first antelope. We are blessed for sure. Hers had a small grown its nose. I know there horns are hair but is this common?

That is crazy, I've seen a lot of antelope - but never something that looked like that.

First off, nice work!

Crazy coincidence but I was just reading a book last night (American Serengeti) that described the extinct relative species of pronghorn that had several sets of horns. The book noted that, occasionally, American pronghorn are still born with three, or even four, sets of horns.

Someday I will overcome point creep and get to hunt one of those cool critters.

My first and best buck (WY) has pretty much the same thing, but smaller. I always have just assumed it is a chunk from another buck that got embedded during a fight. My dad shot a buck an hour later with 4 horns, but the extras are right behind the normal ones.
