That is how all the rifles are shipped to every store that sells rifles. When I picked up my rifle the gun store had all the rifles that just came in that day behind the counter all in their factory boxes.Picked up mine yesterday. I don't want to sound ungrateful or unreasonable but the person handling the shipping on these rifles needs a lesson on how to properly box up a rifle for shipping.
I live in Alaska and the rifle was shipped to my dealer in the original Tikka box with no other packaging. First time in my life I had a rifle shipped to me anywhere in the country where the original factory box was not inside another cardboard box. Granted, the shipper got lucky and there was no damage. But this could have been a huge cluster **** as the factory box was pretty much destroyed.
