Finally moving this year UT > Pinedale, WY

My family will be moving from Utah to the Pinedale, WY area by August. We'll be looking at some houses over the next couple of months and will hopefully get our current home listed by end of May.

We've been up there quite a few times over the last 10 years and have dreamed of moving there for nearly as long.

Is there anyone on the forum that lives in that valley relatively near Pinedale?

Any tips on becoming a resident hunter there other than reading the regs and learning an entirely new system and area?

No tips on becoming a resident other than the obvious. I love that area and make a few trips there a year to hunt or fish. Get settled and we will meet up at Wind River sometime.

Pinedale is great. The units to the north are great elk units and you can hunt them on a general tag which are otc to residents.

365 days. At least you’ll have solid year to scout before you become eligible for instate residency. Btw, Read the regs.
