Finally got a spotter

For starters I realize it's not alpha glass but I figure it's a decent deal. Stopped by a local pawn shop and they had a newer model Vortex Viper HD 15-45 it was priced at $500 and everything in the store was 20-30% off. I asked what % they were taking off the spotter and he said 30 so my pocket is $350 lighter and my pack roughly 60oz heavier.

Solid spotter for a great price. You may want better glass one day but for 350 that viper will work for a long while. You can always sell the viper for more than you paid to assist in upgrading to better glass one day.

I drag my Viper around everywhere. Decent glass and don't worry about hurting it.
