Finally drew my AZ elk!!

Today is a great day for me.

I drew my elk tag for my home state of AZ. I get to roll back home and hunt with my bro Mike in our favorite unit.

Bitter sweet because I've been waiting 6 yrs as a resident and this was my last shoot at a tag before I'm out of the Army and no longer an AZ resident.

Congrats! I know the feeling. The grin will last awhile. I slept in my UL tarptent last night. Kinda my way of immersing myself in the joy of being drawn.
