Fierce Firearms Disaster

I would refuse to buy anything called dirtnap ammo anyway. It would take some serious skill to load something with 119 fps extreme spread.
Hornady does an excellent job of 119 + eps.
Actually had a box of 300 win that was measuring 181 eps and bullets had a 5” group

I tried to talk to them about purchasing a riffle at a show years ago. They talked down to me like I was 5 years old.

Example 13:30;

Sounds like the build riffles like they hunt. Bunch of hacks…. “You got one in him…” 🤦‍♂️
I somehow stumbled across this thread without any intention on ever buying a fierce.

I know its been a couple of years but I had to comment and bump this video to the latest page for others that are thinking about buying a fierce. This is some of the worst hunting ethics I have ever seen and I can't believe they would voluntarily share this as a representation of their rifles/company. 😂 What a joke

I too was about to pull the trigger on a Fierce purchase, and now looking into a Browning X Bolt after reading this and watching that video
The Sako is an amazing rifle as well. Sako 90 Quest Ultra. The accuracy on that from reviews is insane.

My issue is I am looking to purchase a 280 Ackley with a 1:8 twist that can shoot and cycle heavy for caliber bullets. Fierce and Browning are a few of the factory rifles that offer this . If Sako made similar I would be looking into them for this rifle.

I would go custom then. My fierce 300PRC shoots pretty good with hand loads but factory hornady ammo was showing pressure and had heavy bolt lift.

For the money, I would not buy another one, at 2k, you're 2/3 of the cost of a really nice custom rifle, or at the same cost if you shop around and get a decent cheaper stock or chassis

Yeah, I'll probably have to go that direction.

Adding for the benefit of people considering Fierce...

DON'T

My buddy was a dealer for one batch of rifles. He bought several rifles to have in his store. There were several issues with several rifles, I don't recall them all.

The last straw was one rifle in particular. It had a carbon barrel with a visible blem in the contour. He sent it back TWICE, both times it was returned "fixed". After the second time, he called to assert it was NOT fixed, Fierce CS was rude and Hung up on him. After that they wouldn't respond to any contact at all.
He ended up putting a Proof on it out of his pocket just to get rid of it.

On top of all that, the second time it was returned, it came with a target with a ¾" group. During his last call with Fierce CS, he asked why a ¾" group was accepted when they guarantee ½". Fierce's response was "ya, but, nobody holds us to it". My buddy was trying to hold them to it, they declined...

I know of two other Fierce rifles that actually shot well but suddenly shot huge groups. on inspection, the barrels had come loose. The assumption is they were not torqued at the factory, probably just hand tight.

Additionally, all the Fierce factory bedding I've seen looks like a Hawk Tua of bedding around the lug only. Not even, not consistent rifle to rifle and zero clean up.

See the big hour glass in the contour? sent back twice and returned "fixed".

I was on the fence between a fierce Mtn reaper or a seekins element hunter. After reading threads like this in multiple places I opted to order the Seekins. Thank god Fierce did not offer the new burnt metal finishes when I was shopping I would have just risked it lol I love that finish. It’s to bad they don’t have better QC they have so many options someone should take that model and actually build some consistency in the product.
