This is posted in the Texas hunting ForuM in time for the rifle season opener, but i took him during archery season in Carter County OK.

Looking for a gross score estimate only, and i have a toe breaker if a couple get close enough…

Cool buck! To me, scoring is binary, meaning 1 or 0. I either shoot or I pass. This one gets a 1 from me...boom!

Now to the guessing part. I'll go with 154 gross.
I am the same way with bucks, score doesn’t matter much but it is a toolI use to help
Gauge management, among many other things (doe weight being one big part).

I look at a deer and if he looks the part he gets shot. If he doesnt get my
Blood pumping, he gets a pass. This guy we had some pics and both my son and I said if we saw him he would get a shot.

My wife thought he was pretty enough to warrant a shoulder mount, so thats affirmation of our decision.

Love it, I feel the same! He scores a solid 1 for me, especially with that 3rd main beam; 158 gross

Mid 140's. Absolutely beautiful buck, and a shooter for sure. But he doesn't have the tine length to score real high. I'd put him in the low 130's plus the extra beam. But I agree with the posts above. Score is irrelevant. I only use score to describe a deer to other hunters to give them an idea of what I'm talking about in conversation.
