How would 10x42s work without the bino bucket?

I have the chest rig, ran it without bucket for awhile and they fit but with the opening being flimsy I was always worried they would fall out

How would 10x42s work without the bino bucket?

Vortex db 10x42 fit perfect, eye cups extended
Slc 10x42 perfect w eyecups shortened. Nice to have something next to it to keep it on one side or the other. I can put a ranger 1800 in the turkey pot call pouch next to it and it's pretty sweet, little fidgety getting it back in though.
