I've settled on a quilt and it looks like these two are in the running. I am looking at the Flex 30 with 900FP HyperDry Goose Down and the Flicker has untreated 950FP Down. Any thoughts between the two specifically or the brands in general? It looks like the Flicker is a little wider in the dimensions but you can get the Flex in a wide. I like the sleeping pad bungees and clips on the Flex but the full zipper on the Flicker seems like a nice option to have.

I have a Flicker UL 20 and I absolutely love it. I use it in the summer in quilt mode. As temps drop I'll cinch up the foot box and close it up. If temps are below freezing then I usually have to layer up.

I would advise getting a 8L (or 10) compression dry bag for it.

I went the Western Mountaineering route and couldn't be happier with my Astralite. From your two options, I would get the Katabatic. I had been in their shop a few times before they moved to Salida, and they couldn't have been more knowledgeable or helpful.
