Hey all. I bought / traded for a bow over on AT. I gave up a 2012 hoyt vector 32 for a 2013 hoyt spyder turbo 34. Well the bow came today and these are the limbs. It's 34" ATA, but these limbs say 30 and are not turbo. Has anyone seen this?
I did, but no response yet. Had pictures of the bow, but not of the actual limb wording. It's 34" ATA, but looks like the limbs have been switched out. He hasnt responded to my emails/texts.. Luckily I used PayPal for part of the trade so I have that route to go as well. Really looking for the why's of why it's like this. I'm assuming it should read 34 and say turbo on the limbs. Just odd.
I will measure the brace height. my mistake naming the bow. Based on my research the 2013 spyder turbo had a 34" ATA. I was just carrying it over in my frustration. So the limbs should say turbo instead of 30?
This^^ and they should be about to tell you if any warranty parts have been provided or replaced, etc. The limbs, as long as all are matched should be interchangeable between the 30 and 34 but to me it is suspect. Especially since he never mentioned that it's something of a frankenbow before he sold it.
I finally communicated with the guy. Looks like he took off the 50-60# limbs and put on 60-70's. I'll call the hoyt line to confirm things, but thanks for all the help guys!
For manufacturing efficiency I'll bet that, other than labeling and color, all limbs within a given weight range are the same regardless of model and everything is fine. That said Hoyt would've probably provided the limbs with the correct labeling.
yup, most hoyt limbs are the same just different labels put on. Right now I have factor 34 limbs on my Carbon spyder turbo. Limbs are the exact same but just have a different label.
