Anybody loading these in their 30 caliber??? I was thinking of trying the 175g in my 308 and the 200 in my 06.

I wish they hadnt stopped selling them in 7mm. Id have like to try them. But I can say if you dont need the bc, the trophy bonded tipped bullets are gtg. Use them in my 300 saum.

Been loading them in a .300 RUM, accuracy is good. Haven't hunted with them yet, but have a buddy using them in a .300 RUM and has shot lots of stuff in Africa with them as well as some elk and deer and he swears by them.

The 7mm are still available. I just bought 250 directly from Federal through their website before Christmas. My 280ai really like them, haven’t tried them out on game yet.

Shot a deer and an antelope with them they worked well in terms of killing accuracy left a little to be desired, but I just tried one powder. I could probably get them to shot better with a little more work

What I’ve found is they are very sensitive to seating depth just like all other VLD style bullets.

I shooting 175 in a 300 wsm and my magazine only allows me to get .125 to the lands my guess is that’s a part of the lack of accuracy if I could get .010 to .020 I would guess accuracy would increase substantially. I wish the rifle was a long action and not a short action for that reason

In my experience both the TLR and the TBT are very sensitive to seating depth. I've found that both like a good jump to the lands and once you find the sweet spot they will shoot.
They are absolutely my favorite bullet design with a bonded front end and solid shank. They work very well, terminally, across a very broad spectrum of game and impact velocities.

Agreed. I tried them at .020 off and the best I could get was 1.5". Set them back to .080 off, under an inch for almost all the loads I tried. They like some breathing room. But man do they hammer game.
