I’m certainly not as afraid of snakes as I’m afraid of tics. A bad tic bite can ruin your life. For hunters and fishermen, tic bites almost certainly cause more human harm than snake bites.

Used to be more fearless when it came to heights but had a couple scares while roofing. Not real big on snakes or spiders but not going to flee and scream unless it's truly a surprise.

To be honest though nothing gets my heart rate up and the jitters going like trying to talk to an absolutely beautiful woman. Mids and uglies are non-issue but those exceptionally pretty ones just hit different.

I'd say my biggest fear is dancing. As stupid as it sounds, I get the sweats just thinking of getting on a dance floor. Zero rhythm, feel like everyone is laughing at me, and definitely avoid it at all costs. Closely followed by karaoke!
Definitely this. Been trying to overcome it forever

Think about what they look like pooping. Humanize them right up.

Dang, after reading this I guess I'm scared of more than just snakes. I have never flown, don't like heights, had a cat jump out of my trash can at me the other day, not a big fan of driving over long bridges, more because I don't like engineers :). I guess I am more of a sissy than I first suspected.... lol

Having some sense of caution about various things doesn’t make you a sissy. It makes you tactically aware. As the saying goes “The brave man knows fear but overcomes it, the fool knows no fear”.

We all knew you were a sissy. No worries.

That's funny. One of my best friends was always like that too. Back in the late 80's we were at a fancy New Years party in San Diego. We're in tuxedo's, and these two bombshell ladies walk in. We're both 6'6", they're both 5'11"/6'0"-ish, fashion model bodies, and are wearing those short one piece spandex dresses that were popular back then.

My buddy was stuttering, stammering, and sputtering all over himself. Man, I'm laughing at it now, just thinking about it. The girl I was talking to says to me "What's wrong with your friend, is he OK"? I told her "That's a loaded question........but just tell your friend that it's a huge compliment to both of you. The more beautiful you are, the worse he gets".

That explains why women get so flustered talking to me.

Here I always thought it was the rock-lined well and lotion in the basket.
