Spiders... Woke up as a kid with one as big as my hand on my hand... Haven't been right since...
Ticks... Ewww
Bulls sharks... They even kill people in fresh water
Flying... Not a fan

Ok, maybe I'm closer to phobia of spiders than I thought, tried to make myself pick up a harmless one, and my damn hands jerked away against my will.

The more I thought about my first post on here, the more I realized I was bullshitting myself.

Sure there are things I don’t enjoy. Had a black widow infestation in the crawlspace a few years ago. Not a fan of spiders but I sure as hell wasn’t paying an exterminator. 45 minutes murderous intent and problem solved. The thin that will keep me up at night is failure. Whether it’s family, friends, patients or myself I hate and fear failing.

Taking trash out to the garbage can in the dark. It's not the dark I'm afraid of, it's opening the lid on the garbage can. Had an experience several years ago that I don't think I'll ever get over.

Not a fan of snakes here. I think it’s a combination of how they feel and how they don’t have legs and still are able to move. They shouldn’t be able to move without legs 😂

Dancing is a good one.

Real talk, my child has Epilepsy…. It’s major, 12 years, brain surgery, implants….. I’m scared of what those meds are doing to her brain.

Rats, hands down. Mice, snakes or spiders not a problem. Want to see me run like a scared toddler, say "there goes a rat." All stems from having a live rat tossed into a skidloader I was driving in my college days.

Just remember, mice are inside, rats are outside

I think im a bit of a weirdo with phobias.
I hate heights but loved skydiving and loved climbing trees etc as a kid. But I struggle to stand on my bed or a chair to change a light globe.
I hate medical needles, but love getting tattooed.
I love water and the ocean, but if I can't see or touch the bottom, there's no chance in hell I'm going in the water. My state has the 2nd largest population of great white sharks on earth, plus a ton of other angry bitey things that im just not willing to risk playing with.

I spent some time on the Navy’s large amphibious assault ships. I always thought nothing could be worse than being trapped below decks while the ship was sinking.

I’m not deathly afraid of anything but I don’t love heights. I went parasailing in Mexico and thought that was awesome, I think cause I’m strapped in. Even upon scaffold on buildings I’m fine but standing on the edge of a roof with nothing around I don’t like. I’d say I have a little bit of claustrophobia too, I don’t love being under a house in a tight crawl space but I’ll do it if I have to.

My biggest fear is my wife dying before me. I’m not a big fan of freelancing heights either but can still manage them. No huge physical fears, mostly circumstantial fears.

Earthquakes. I live in Alaska 80 miles away from the big fault along the coast. We get quite a few small shakers. Almost always at night, they bring me out of a dead sleep and I head for the door.
