Favorite Podcast Episode

Got a long flight coming up tomorrow, what are some of your favorite podcast episodes? Doesn’t have to be about hunting.

I just listened to a few minutes of Elkshape, title was like "draw deadlines coming up" and it didn't go very well.

He said WY deadline was coming up, but didn't know when it was..
Said he paid $1500 in WY Mt Goat points and let them go, WY doesn't have points for goats ..
Then he started in on the wilderness law and thought it was unconstitutional, it's been thru the court system ..

at that point I quit and once again vowed not to listen to hunting podcasts

Maybe an F1 podcast would be good if you're into that?

Otherwise, hardcore history by Dan Carlin is spectacular. Blueprint for Armageddon is my favorite but they are all amazing.

If you like Meateater, I loved the episode with Miachael Punke. Epidsode 275 The Battle of One Hundred in the Hand. The novel “Ridgeline” that they discuss is a great read. He wrote “The Revenant” as well

Long flight = long podcast

I find Acquired fascinating. Rolex, Costco, Indian premier cricket league… etc. even some like LVMH were interesting.

There’s always Shawn Ryan, Jocko, etc. some of their podcasts with Vietnam SOG guys are crazy!

Otherwise, hardcore history by Dan Carlin is spectacular. Blueprint for Armageddon is my favorite but they are all amazing.

The first time Micah Fink was on Jocko in 2022, episode 318. I’m not a very loyal Jocko listener, but it’s the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. And that’s coming from a guy who listens to 70+ hours of podcasts a week

If you can somehow find the meateater Christmas episode from a few years back when Matt Rinella was the guest, and he held nothing back telling them what a bunch of D -bag influencers they are. It was fan fuc*ing tastic. Hands down my favorite episode of Meateater

I’ll check it out, I like Jocko but I’m so over saturated with military stuff I can only listen every once in a while, I think I’ll listen to that meateater episode now, kinda sad how it tore them apart like that but I’m sure matt has some good points

Thanks for reminding me about this one, I listened to one last year that was about Elmo Wortman and his family getting shipwrecked in Alaska. Super interesting and well narrated. Another one I like in this genre is Out Alive by Backpacker Magazine (Although they no longer make episodes)
