Looking for some good everyday work pants. I’m 6’5 and 250 and it seems like most companies don’t make pants in a 40/34 or 35. Also some of them that do it seems like they are skinny jeans. I actually have a,pair of pants right now I could wear everyday that I bought from Costco online that are 4 way stretch and a nice comfortable material. But unfortunately they only had them for like a month and now they are gone. I tried to buy some straight from the company and they don’t even make them anymore. They were so good.

Looking for suggestions. I really like the stretch fabric and not interested in Levi’s. If you have any you like that actually come in Big and tall sizes and are generous in the thighs I’d love to hear what ya got. Thx.

Have you looked into Duluth Trading Fire Hose Flex pants? The flex versions have some stretch to them and the company has a great warranty

I'm 6'4" and wear 42/34 generally. Yes, you generally are wasting time looking in stores.

Check out Deluth Trading Company online. They have some great flex pants.

I feel your pain.
I usually wear Blue mtn. Carpenter pants relaxed fit from Tractor supply. Actually its all I wear.

I am close to your size. Love those Duluth pants. I am also having good luck with the flex carhartts. Go to their websites and search flex or stretch. Car hart’s are a little cheaper but I think the Duluth’s hold up a little better. Once you get used to stretchy pants it is hard to go back. For a pro tip, order a size up and your size. Return the one you don’t like. If order from Duluth grab one of their long tail t shirts too.

If you are looking for jeans, 5.11 has some stretch jeans and 34 inseams. The slim fit are too snug but the relaxed fit aren’t too skinny. I haven’t really beat them up but they are holding up well for a few months of use.

I have a similar but different problem. I’m 6’5” and 215lbs with scrawny legs. Send me your skinny pants! Haha.

I bought some 36/36 Prana Stretch Zions after reading recommendations here and on other forums. They were tight in the crotch and way baggier in the legs than I expected. I can find jeans I like online, but that perfect pair of outdoors pant has thus far eluded me.

Anyway, just chiming in to say I feel your pain!

6'6, 215 lbs. I am currently wearing Ariat Rebar jeans. They have stretch and have been wearing good.

I do like my Carlos ray pants from tactical Distributors. Dont know if they offer them in that large a waist, but their lengths are generous.

The 36x34 I ordered fit more like 38x36's. So carrying iwb concealed is a non issue.

The Eddie bauer guide pro pants fit me like skinny Jean's, which a definite no-go for me. (Not a hipster)

I have the same problem...6'6" and 195 lbs. I recently bought some Kuhl Renegade and Revolvr pants in 36/36 that seem to fit me pretty well. You may want to give them a look.

I wear carhartt cargo pants daily. Loose fit and light weight. I'm 6'1 265. I know they make 40/34 or 36"

I have been wearing the Carharts for about 14 years. The fit great and wear well, but can be a bit hot and heavy. Tried Duluth firehose pants... again hot and heavy, but liked them, so I bought 6 pair. They had a bad shrinkage problem... an expensive lesson learned.
I too would like to find reasonably priced stretch every day pants, so am tagging in.

You said work pants and that you liked the stretchy ones. In my experience the two cannot go together. I ran Levi's (any denim without stretch) and blew out the crotch, carhartt canvas wears itself out and is way overrated, any hiking backpacking type pants relegated to the work clothes drawer never stayed there too long. Once you break in these chino's they get really soft and resist holes in knees and crotch really well.

Carhartt chino b290 is $30 a pair and worth every penny. For 30 bucks give a pair a shot and see what ya think
