Currently I have a Leupold Mark 4HD 2.5-10 SFP TMR on my 6mm ARC. I love everything about this scope. The reticle (one of my favorite aspects of this scope for hunting. I added a picture below), the form factor, the locking elevation turret, the capped windage, etc. IMO it is the perfect scope for a 0-500 yard rifle, with a caveat, I think I am starting to see the issues that wsre experienced in the drop test. Granted I won't be able to validate this until I make some reloads but I've been experiencing weird things. Part of me wants to blame it on the lot to lot consistency with Hornady.

With that said, if I do find the scope being the issue, what is y'all favorite MPVO. I keep leaning towards the NF 2.5-10 but I hate that it does not have a capped windage or a locking elevation turret (granted I can get over that if there is a zero stop).

Picture is a 2 MOA target at 500 yards. Disregard the blurry, it was my camera on my phone.

Nf nxs 2.5-10 x42 is probably the right answer, although I think the leupold reticle is far better. I dont own one only because I dont care for the reticle. I have a S&B Klassik 3-12x42 that I like. Reticle is a mildot fairly similar to the tmr. The turret limits elevation travel to around 500-700 yards depending on cartridge, but if thats all you need it’s a good scope imo.

I was afraid of that. Any idea of how to secure that exposed windage turret? I guess I could just tape it down but it irks me that someone would have to do that with a $2 scope. Makes me wonder if that turret can be removed and a SHV cap put on it.

Afraid of what? An uncapped windage turret? The nf scopes have good turrets, they dont just spin haphazardly from carrying them around. A wrap of tape would keep it fixed if you are really worried, but I dont think its really an issue in reality.
The klassik scope is available with a capped elevation turret if you want it capped. Windage is also capped. Otherwise, it has a zero stop and they are very low profile turrets.

I had a turret spin on me once, but it was on an inexpensive scope with very easy to spin turrets. None of the legit exposed-turret scopes Ive ever used have inadvertantly spun. Im sure it happens very occasionally and I get wanting to eliminate all possible sources of problems, but I wouldnt let it keep you away from a really good scope.
