CZ Scout, lightweight, short length of pull, it's designed for kids to use.
Then as they get bigger, you have a multitude of stock and barrel options to upgrade it into something that will keep them interested in shooting, instead of a 'little kids gun'

I love my tac sol, it was a huge upgrade in every way over the t1x I was using. I got my wife a Ruger American and it’s not a good gun at all, it’s heavy, clunky and dosent shoot great, I actually feel bad for her when she goes shooting with me. I need something better for her.

Which tacsol you got?
They are amazing.
I have the oweehyee (spelled correctly?) and just got their internally suppressed barrel for my 22/45.
Also have the shorter shroud barrel on a takedown. Though haven’t shot that one yet.

Savage mk2 fsv is a pretty darn good gun, but don’t like those mags.

I have a an x-ring that I put a dead air mask 22 on. With the built in rail, I just used some vortex pic rings to put my tract 22 scope on it. It’s been a great fun so far. Lots of grouse and a few ptarmigan so far with it.

Jealous of the mask. That was my first choice for 22 can but never seemed to get it in stock. I’m good now for 22 cans. But if we get another 22, that mask.

Tacsol makes good stuff.

I'll cast my vote for CZ 457.
This is the way.

Ruger 10/22. No need to spend a bunch of money on something like this. I shot one for years, my kid shot it for years and still does. Didn’t have to swap out barrels or swap out stocks, it’s a 22 for a kid to mess around with.
