I just ordered a rimfire suppressor. I am looking for the perfect grouse and small game .22. What's your favorite?
Mine must be threaded.

My favorite 22...

A cz 452 is a solid choice. I think the current 457 or whatever is of simular quality, just no experience with them.

The ruger rimfire precision is my current 22 supressor host. I don't pack it squirrel hunting per say, I do take it to the feed lot and smack pigeons out to about 200 yds with it.

A savage 93 or I think their b series would be another solid choice.

Tikka, anshutz, volquartsen, and others make really nice 22's. I just view them as more of a target gun than a toss in the truck and run a muck for critters 22.

Hard to beat a good ol Ruger 10/22. Especially their new carbon one.
Light as a feather. Accurate too. Or get a takedown backpack model.

I am old school still use my old man's model 60. I used it growing up and acquired it when he passed. Currently doesn't have can..I debate getting it threaded, as you have to remove the can to load it, but it does hold 17 in the tube.

I've used a CMMG 22 conversion kit before but I gotta say definitely don't use that because it's got shit accuracy out of a 223 barrel

The only threaded 22 we have is my son's rascal. That thing drives tacks. If I were to buy a dedicated 22lr for me, it'd be a tikka or a CZ.

I really like my CZ 457s and my T1X. Apart from requiring an adapter for the stupid thread pitch, the 457 Royal is a really nice hunting rifle.

I have 7 CZs (455s and 457s) and would suggest a CZ 457 American. Threaded sporter-weight barrel. My 455 American:

The Scout is a nice shooter are well (have one), but the stock is too short for most adults. The Royal is very nice, but I can't get past the logo carved into the stock.

I also have three 10/22s and they can be nice guns too, but most really need a little trigger work and precision with factory barrels can be all over the board.

Did someone say "Mk IV" with a dot?

I have a cz 457. It’s been good to me.

The only 22 I’d consider an “upgrade” would be an Anschutz.

And as far as 22lr handguns, well the Hammerli H1 is easy to love.
I’m seriously considering carrying it while bow hunting to shoot grouse and snakes with.
