I am copying and pasting part of this from my post in the elk hunting forum because I’m open to both moose and elk. We’re just really looking forward to taking a step towards adventure hunting.

I’m looking for an outfitter for my 16 year old son and myself for next fall. I’m not looking to DIY, we have never moose hunted and have limited on time to scout as well as having a farm to up keep etc. I would like to hunt them in the rut. He has killed whitetail, hogs, bear, turkeys all on his own so we’re both competent hunters. We’re just inexperienced when it comes to moose and the time is worth more to me than the money. So I would greatly appreciate any and all recommendations and please feel free to dm me if you would prefer to share that way. Thanks in advance!

Depends on your budget where you want to hunt. Without any points to draw western states will be impossible to draw a tag. Alaska and the Yukon are going to be expensive . Alberta, British Columbia, and Canada are possible, but still pricey. My son and I are going to Newfoundland in 2026. Little more affordable and tags are a given with an outfitter.

Do you mind if I dm you?
