I'm guessing you're at 58.2. My brother's 6.5 prc with 140s I have loaded at 59 with h1000

25x284 was the 25 I wanted to build on my tikka for years. But Found this 25prc barrel and brass on the hide for a good price

I will be ordering another barrel shortly. I got probably 600 rounds left on this one but I'd like to have one sitting on the shelf specd the same

It’s gotta be 58.2. The .25-06 will drive 3060 with 58.2 of re-26. If you’re getting those numbers with 52.8 I’m ditching my -06 and getting .25 PRC.

Wow, 3230 out of a 24" is crazy. You may have already mentioned this, but does the PRC use standard Tikka bolt face, or do you have to get a magnum bolt?

I need to research H1000 .25-06 load data.

Here is the load data from Berger. H1000 is actually slower in the .25-06 with 103% fill than RE-26, IMR 7828 SSC, Norma MRP, and N560 at less than 100%. Fascinating how the case impacts burn rate an velocity.

If you go to Berger's website they have a twist rate calculator. However, in general, for any 25 over 120 grains you're looking at 1:8 or faster.

Well my 25 prc with the 135 berger ended my antelope hunt pretty quick this morning. After 14 years of applying he was exactly where I'd been seeing him the last few weeks. Extreme long range of 230 yards, dialed up 1moa haha. Huge puff of hair and he ran about 100 yards. Not sure how critter do it with holes the size of what bergers can do. Pretty good hunt with the whole family this morning 13" tall with 6" bases, no giant but good enough for me and my crew

Congrats on the antelope. What are you using for load data for a 25 prc? A buddy and I were talking about 25 prc but couldn’t find much in the way of info on reloading.

I have a 20" PBB on a Tikka in 25 PRC. With the 134/135's I am at 2960 fps with Retumbo and N565. Probably some more speed in there, but they shoot pretty good so far.

I asked this in the .25 success thread as well, but figured I'd ask here too. Anybody have any load data or experience with Black Hole bullets? They sell a 145 in .257 that sounds interesting.

Have you ever had any pressure problems with this load? The data that Berger sent me shows 50.6 grains as max load for 4831sc but I’m assuming it’s very conservative.
