Fast twist 243 factory ammo future

Question for the masses. With the fast twist 243 barrel trend we are starting to see, does anyone think we will see a factory ammo 108gr ELDM 243 load? Or are SAAMI specs prohibitive of such a cartridge? I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I haven't seen it.

Having factory options would be nice but doubt it will happen due to the sheer number of “slow” twist 243s out in the wild. I hope I’m wrong but doubt it. I’ll keep loading my 105-108s

I doubt it will happen. SAAMI exists as an organization to ensure conformity between rifles and ammo.

To run the long/heavy high BC bullets you need a longer freebore (against SAAMI spec) or you load them inside the case (according to standard SAAMI spec). And, then all of the slow twist barrels won't shoot them.

Put that mix of .243 out into the world and pretend you have a fudd behind the gun counter at Bass Pro and a noob buying a rifle...

Thanks for the replies. Hopefully some of the "boutique" ammo manufacturers will produce some decent ammo to take advantage of the new fast twist rifles.

There are options for you to have some loaded.

Copper creek and unknown munitions both make loads you can purchase direct

Start handloading and you can shoot whatever you want.

Just get a 6 creed or rechamber to one if you don't reload.
