I've worn Smartwool for years, but have read good things about Farm to Feet. Anyone have experience with them?

I own about 25 pairs, everything from dress to everyday to hunting. Best socks I have owned. The Ely is the best hunting sock I have used except for the Gore socks that aren’t made anymore.

I have been super happy with my Damascus Midweight and Ely Midweight. I have been wanting to try the Denali.

I have a bunch. They offer a discount through Leo adventures (which I greatly appreciate).

Boulder and Damascus mid and light are great socks.

Great to see companies that aren’t afraid to market to hunters and fishermen as well as your regular everyday customers.
The more mainstream we are the better we are. On a side note they are a great company and people to deal with as well.

Yup, only socks I've hunted with for the last four years.
You can find them at Sierra Trading Post pretty cheap.

I’ve been using them for about a year and love them. Only problem is I have no idea which model I’m using. Now that I know there’s more than 1 model I need to do some research

What makes them so good? How do they compare to darn tough socks?
I don’t have any Darn Tough socks, so can’t compare. The F2F socks are nicely cushioned and after a year of being in my work boots everyday, they’ve stood up better than any I’ve previously owned. I will be getting some Darn toughs to try very soon tho.

Darn tough are good a sock, might even have slight durability edge over some F2F models, and some like the ely and slate are just as sturdy as they have the same nylon content as darn tough.
The technical F2F win out for me in the placement of the cushioning and very noticeable more seamless then my DTs, smoother transition from the cushion ect.
That said it s spitting hairs. They are both excellent socks.

I have about 20 different pairs. I really like the Greensboro 3/4s. To me they have the perfect amount of cushioning on the bottom, but don't let my feet get as hot. I've ran Smartwool, Icebreaker, Point6 in the past and they all seem to make my feet sweater.

I'm looking for a lightweight pair and a heavyweight pair, and I'm looking at Darn Tough, First Lite, Kuiu, Minus 33, Farm 2 Feet, etc.. and I keep coming back to the F2F, but I have a question for those with experience.

For the lightweight pair, I think I want a boot cut since I will obviously be wearing them when its warm - is the Elkin a good sock? Whats the difference between that one and the Damascus?

For the heavyweight sock, I want a over-the-calf so that there's plenty of overlap if I wear boot cut merino base layers (my merino bottoms come out of my boot cut socks sometimes and it drives me nuts). Is the Hickory the way to go there?

Do they still source US wool? I liked how they did that even though it is most likely Rambouillet and Targhee wool.

I grabbed some light merino feet to farm for trail running and they are exceptional

Just got a pair of Ely lightweight and tried them on. Maybe I'll get used to it, but the padding on the bottom of the ball of my foot makes it feel like the sock it bunched up under there and I need to take my boot off and fix it.

Is the padding the same on the Damascus?

And maybe I have short legs, but they are a mid-calf and go right up to the top of my lower leg.
