Factory barrel weight?

This may be a dumb question, but does anyone have any idea how much a 7mm PRC, 22in fluted mag sporter barrel weighs… approximately? I’m upgrading a Weatherby 307 in hopes of shedding some weight and my numbers don’t seem to be adding up. The best I can come up with online is 3.5 pounds but if that’s the case, I’m somehow adding a pound to my rifle by swapping out to a 26oz CF stock.

Check out Lilja's barrel weight calculator. It predicted the finished weight within a few ounces of my fluted sporter contour. Nice resource.

To your question, you can absolutely go lighter than 3.5lbs with a fluted 22" barrel. If you need muzzle threads, going to 9/16 diameter threads will let you run a lighter contour. That worked great for me. Feel free to PM with questions
