Facebook wouldn't let me sell a bow?

I have a starter bow that I tried to sell on facebook marketplace. I posted it and in a matter of minutes it was flagged. It didn't tell me why besides it "violated their terms of use". The ad did say that I used it for hunting but beyond that it was just an item.

How can a bow be considered something they are unable to support the sale of? Has anyone had any issues with this kind of thing?

Is it the anti hunting bias or are they saying its somehow a "gun".

I appealed but was denied without any explanation.

I tried to sell some brass and had the same issue. Just throw #resistance in there somewhere and they’ll probably let you slide.

Its a firearm thing.

It does not fit their definition of a firearm but that is still how they are flagging it. Which is hilariously sad since I follow a sport shop that literally posts ads for firearms that don't get taken down. Its likely some key word you used.

As far as brass goes ammunition components are specifically listed as prohibited unlike archery equipment.

I've seen some clever work-arounds. Most recently a bow laying on the ground with three bananas lined up next to it. The ad title was "For sale: Three bananas $250"

This is why I don't trust FB. I can't tell you how many of our reviews I've tried to share on there and they axe 'em as there's a dead animal in the review, and it's probably some guy eating a hamburger is the ironic part.

Tried to sell my sons bush cutlass (basically a sword) on Facebook and that was a no go. I have no problem with them doing business how they want. I would hope Rokslide can take down threads and items they don't want to be sold here as well.

A picture of the item with the heading "up for discussion" is code for selling on Facebook. Just post to a selling group and that seems to be a go around.

Join a top end archery buy sell group and move on.
