Experiences with Pulsar Thermals?

I'm looking to get into thermals, been considering the thermion 2 xp50 or xq50. Anyone have real world experience with either?

Pulsar is probably about 80% as good as say a REAPIR. So not as good but pretty dang good. I've been using a Pulsar thermal scanner for almost 10 years.

Does anyone have a recommendation on whether a standard qd mount will work with their xp or xq50s, or do I need a 2" offeset?
