Question, what barrel length are you running? Bolt or gas gun?

This was my thought, lots of folks seem to like the shorter barrels. Running BH through a 16” should* be comparable to running this ammo through a 20” if the 100 fps holds and the rule of ~25 fps/inch, no?

The creedmoor TMK i got last year is in starline .223 brass.

I chronographed some today. Ranged from something like 2560 to 2615 from a 16" barrel. For comparison (since my chronograph might be inaccurate) the 73gr ELDM .223 factory ammo was 2590 to 2610, almost same POI.

The Deer I shot with, the .22-250 walked on for quite a while before,.. collapsing !
Fortunately, I was on a Hill above him and was able to see him, lay down
IMO,.. a .243 Win is Minimum for Deer and that's the Beginning Caliber,.. in MANY States.

If just for training no. If you also wanted a round to hunt things, the TMK serves both purposes.

So far it seems to me like M855 is damn close to POI of 77tmk and 73eldm at 100 yards, so I just use M855 for general practice. I havent tested that past 100 yards yet.

That’s good to know,I have about 600 rounds loaded in pmags and 1200 new in ammo cans I bought about 8 years ago.
I dont shoot my ar much at all.
