I'd love to hear any feedback back on this shelter w/ 2 & a stove

I'm a 100% sure on it working w/ one, need to know how doable or undoable with two hunters; both 6' and likely to be using short cots

If there is a better option, I'm all ears :)

Thanks in advance

My buddy has this set up and we are planning to use it, I'm 6'5" and he's probably 5'10" interested to see how well it will work. I am thinking about bringing a fly for gear.

No, sorry for the confusion . I am just as interested in hearing from others on this as you are. I watched Robby's video on YouTube about the set up it looks like it will work but it might be "cozy"

I've had two with cots and we had plenty of room. If not using a nest there will be plenty of room. I had an SL5 with stove prior to the cimmaron with 2 of us in it, also there is more space in the cimmaron so I see no issue with it. This is taking two avg sized guys into consideration, will be tighter for taller bigger guys.

Also the double doors makes it even better for two and a stove.

I have only used it solo so far, which has worked great. I think it would work for two but you'd get pretty cozy with the stove, wood, cots, and gear. I think without cots it would be more than enough room. I used a short cot and the 8" it lifted me up really pushed me out to the middle where the stove and pole were so that I wasn't hitting the canopy.

Another solo user with stove. I echo Halleywood's comments. My 7.5" cot pushed me toward the middle & I think it would be somewhat tight with cots, stove, wood & gear.

Would take a small tarp for gear.

I figured it might be cozy :) cozy is OK, but getting wet against the shelter is not- the cots we will be using are a little shorter 5-ish inches, so that might help a tiny bit (but maybe not enough?)

that Redcliff looks huge! :D

in the short time we have had it we have concluded that a wood stove is work we don't need. We can take a couple large fuel cans for the stove we already have. For 3 lbs of extra fuel, it is likely less than packing a wood stove around. We fired up the jetboil and ran wide open for a few minutes and it is warm in there. Dried clothes out no problem. I also don't want to screw around and burn my $900 sleeping bag or my ground sheet dicking with a stove.

I have a Cimarron & stove and we had two cots as well and had plenty of room. No issue with being to close to the stove or worrying about burning any gear.. Tried posting pics but the app kept closing on me.. So here's a link to some pics. Cimarron with stove - Google Photos

^ Sweet! Thanks- looks like I should be GTG :D I also have a couple of small, light tarps that I could throw in to stow packs, firewood, etc if need be

Thanks for posting. And I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm looking at trying out that exact floorless/stove combo next year. What size stove pipe are you running there?

I've thought about this same thing many times! Did it seem to be more humid running your jetboil vs the stove?

Used a cimmaron with two cots and a stove about the size of a 18 inch cylinder stove. It was cozy we had our packs in there as well. Not a lot of extra room but it worked.

I have never had a floorless with a wood stove. I have heard the wood heat dries better, but I don't know if that stays true on these floorless shelters. The only place we have had this setup is in wet ass oregon, so I have no experience in it in any comfy fun hunt.

well Seek Outside is having a sale on their shelters and just ordered a Cimmaron with medium stove :)
