I blew up my pad last night to use as a guest bed in our house and this happened. Anyone else ever had this issue?

I emailed Exped to see if they can do anything or if I should just trash it. Still holds air perfectly but welds are toast.

Never happened to me, but this makes me nervous owning a downmat 9

I had one do that, exped replaced it for me.

None at all. Mine did it on the first trip I took it out on, had to sleep on it for 2 more nights.

My 9 DXL did that this last year of course it was at spike camp in WY on our elk hunt, was terrible to sleep on nothing worked to make it comfortable.

It was close to ten year old and I had slept many many nights on it so no regrets things just wear out.

Purchased a new Xtherm for next year.

I have a neoair that I use. This was purchased just for my wife. Its more comfortable when it works.

Exped customer service is pretty good give them a chance to fix it up

I've emailed them and will see what they say just wanted to see how common this was.

Has anyone had this happen on another brand of pad?

Delamination.
Had it happen to my first Exped after about three years while on a caribou hunt. Annoying, but not life threatening.

Took it in to the mountaineering store i bought it from and they just handed me a new one with no questions asked and sent me on my way. The replacement has been going strong for five years.

Well they are just replacing it no questions asked.

I was honestly surprised. I think it is great they stand by their product.

Ive had the same pad for 5+ years with no issues and two of their other pads no issues. Love them. Glad to know they stand behind their product if this does happen.

Exped will warranty it, every exped I've ever owned ended up doing that.

I had a baffle blow out in the middle of the night last year on a UL7 Synmat. Exped replaced it no questions asked. They also said they had changed the lamination in the lighter pads and thus far had no baffles blow out after changing it.
