Just want to hear some opinions on these broad heads, have quite a few rage brand new still in packaging, but I’m considering selling some an trying out the exodus!

What is your targeted species?

I have seen both work well. In general I'm not a fan of the rage. If shooting a mechanical head I choose a different one. Nothing wrong with the Exodus if you can tune them from your setup. Swept is easier for tuning.

Exodus in my opinion. I have used it successfully many times. Most durable, best flying replaceable fixed blade in the "non-premium" category. It consistently beats heads in flight, sharpness, penetration, etc that cost more than the exodus.

Pretty simple

Expandables don’t work 100% of the time

Fixed blade COC do

Not a tough decision even though you saw some dude wearing a flat brimmed hat on YouTube take an elk with a rage

Weird that archery hunters would take the risk but I guess marketing is pretty persuasive. Must be the rocking guitar solo in their video

Yeah, on the internet.

In the real world, the MBH failure rate may be higher, but every BH can fail - and most have.

I think the internet can make it seem like things fail more than they do. Everyone hears about it. I have taken probably 50+ animals with a mechanical with no failure. Certainly not any animals that I hit solid that got away either. I can remember 2 animals in that time I made poor shoots on that got away.

I think mechanicals get a bad rap because people just put them on an arrow thinking they don't need to tune for them. They definitely aren't as durable, however some of the replaceable blade fixed blades aren't much better. Remember we aren't hunting cinder blocks.

I’ve shot a few animals with hypos with good luck but switched to Sevr for mech heads, but I have tracked 2 that have been shot with 3 blade rage one was found 30+ hours later about 3/4 mile away 2 blades sheared off one bent pretty bad and about 4-5 inches of penetration. Deflected off the shoulder blade it was ugly 70 lbs I think 410 grain arrow. It robs so much energy to open the 3. Next was shot high not much blood never found the deer but two years later someone killed one 2 properties over with an unopened 3 blade high shoulder stuck about an inch in. That was a 400 grain arrow with 60 lb bow at 40 yards. Unless your shooting 70+ and 500+ grain arrow I wouldn’t go with the 3 blade rage and even then there’s much better options

There are bad shots, poor blood trails and then there is equipment failure.
In over 40 years of bow hunting never had the blades fail to open or shear off the coc two blade broadheads I’ve used. I have recovered quite a few expandables over the years in animals while butchering them. Blades sheared off by ribs or other bones, failure to open etc

I shoot heavier arrows. I want my arrow to bust through bone and want a complete pass through or at least an exit hole on elk and deer and bear. I want to be able to take quartering away shots and shots from steep angles if hunting in a tree stand . I don’t know if an expandable that meets those requirements

I have stated I'm not a fan of rage. I think they paint a lot of these expanding broadheads in a bad light. I settled on spitfire for a mechanical head. I do shoot other fixed blades as well. My quiver has several different heads in it.

I haven't ever had issue with hard angles, penetration, or breakage with the spitfire. For those who are not familiar with them they are not a rear deployment expandable. They expand over the top. They open fine on elk, deer, bear, coyotes, turkey, and groundhogs.
