Does it look like this section should be stitched down? Both sides are like that. It looks like it came unstitched.3312EDB1-95E0-4E91-85C4-36892AF37CF2.jpegD93FBA54-A344-43BA-9B61-CF4A088782CF.jpeg

What piece are you asking about? The edge of the pad? Or the second line of stitching on the strap? Looks like you need to get them to send you a new shoulder harness setup.

I'm not seeing anything I'd be concerned with.
The strap is supposed to be stitched on with two bar tacks. The second one isn't attached. Even on my K2 setup it's double stitched. Took me a second to figure out what he was asking about when he posted the picture.

It probably won't matter a bit for actual use, but it's supposed to be sewn.

You are correct. I checked my k2, it's double tacked.

I don't know that it's a big issue, I'm sure they would just send another harness.

My concern is now I only have one row of stitching anchoring that down though?
95% of your weight will be on your hips if you set it up right, the shoulder straps just keep it centered. Shoot @Mark at EXO a picture of it and he'll get you squared away

A lot if not all the stress is carried by the nylon, not the shoulder pads. I wouldn't be too concerned.

I'd contact them, but I don't think it will effect it. If it's wrong they will make it right. Never have had a bit of issue with customer service from them.

I meant to say, email EXO, not just message them on here. Or better yet, call them. They'll take care of you.

Yeah I just sent a email a little earlier but it was after business hours so I was getting anxious so I got on here to pacify myself lol.

I have no doubt they will make it right, super good guys!

I have a K3 in fusion that is identical to yours. So not just a bad run in on that sku. Looks to me it’s supposed to be that way and the 1” nylon is double sewn as that’s what’s taking the load. I’m sure this is the design and 10x stronger than needed to hold that pad in place.

Here’s my K2:

I would think that yes the double stitching has to be extra precaution for when you are cinching up, making sure the pad makes good contact to your side. If it’s a calculated design on the K3 based on the shape of the newer harness then I would like to hear about how that is different now.

Mark is literally the best guy in customer service at any outdoor company I have ever met at helping people with any issues.

I’m staying tuned here.
