Exo Mountain K4?

I like it more every time I have a heavy load in it, today was just shy of 6.5miles back, and besides the obvious leg fatigue, I can’t tell anything happened. My feet hurt more than anything else on my body from wearing xtratuffs for a bunch of miles, and many of them with wet feet from water running down my body 😂

What works better magnum or extra pleasure for the suppressor cover?

Anyone with the K4 3600 that has done a 5 day, spike camp, cold weather hunt care to comment on how that bag worked out?

My old Mystery Ranch bag is 4700 cu in and has room to spare. I would like to downsize to the K4 3600 if it has room for a 5 day cold weather hunt. EXO lists the total volume at 4,268 cu in for the 3600 + lid.

Seems do-able. Or would the 5000 be required? My base weight is around 25 lbs (full camp kit minus food, water and weapon) after some recent upgrades to lighter, higher quality gear. Thanks for your input.

I'm not exactly a minimalist, but I know I couldn't fit 5 days worth of food and gear in a 3,600. My wife and I have 5k's and this fall they were both pretty well loaded for a 5 day.

For me personally it wouldn't work without using the load shelf. That said, you may be one of the few guys that can do it. It's not a direct comparison but I know Steve Speck put out a video of him loading up a K3 3200 pack for a 10 day sheep hunt. That's insane to me but everyone has different gear and packs differently and he obviously made it work. If you pack more like him than like me you may be able to make the 3600 work.

I’ve done 4 days, but that was archery season. Could have done 5, haven’t tried that length for cold weather with 3600 though. 5k for sure would be “easier” to do.

It’s amazing how quickly I can fill the 5k. I honestly don’t know how the Exo guys fit as much as they can in the 3600.

Just my sleeping bag, pad, tent, and puffy clothing fills my 5k pretty good.. Though I don’t have the best compact gear available.

I’d want a 5k minimum for that. I also hate strapping crap to my pack if I don’t have to.
