But the open-top side sleeves, stretchy front panel, and big water bottle pockets are a huge part of why I purchased a K3 and not a Stone Glacier or Kifaru bag. I think the K3 bag designs are the best on the market, it would be a bummer to see those design features go away.
Ditto. I have them all and my K3 is my go to for these reasons. My favorite is the puffy jacket stuffed into the stretchy outside pocket. Convenient, and also makes a killer rifle rest.

Why do y’all care so much about the damn multi cam? Do you sit around and admire the camo pattern of you backpack?
I just think solids look like shit. My packs get stained to high heaven. Especially coyote brown. I'm not in the military any more and don't want any of it on or around me. And don't want to be tied to FL camo.

Camo gets darker when wet and I think most camo patterns are to dark.

For you all that have used the K4 and a K3 in the past is it worth the difference to wait until the K4 comes out to purchase?

Wasn't Multicam developed for the military, and in fairly ubiquitous use by the military?

After my time. I'm oldie. It's not that I dislike the military now. There's just certain things that spur certain memories.
I'm not claiming my preferences are rational.

All im saying is Snyder would have to publicly claim the K4 smokes there packs to get me to buy coyote brown. 😃

I personally despise the long side pockets on the previous Gen packs. They serve no purpose (for me) and are just extra material weight. I wouldn't mind seeing them removed and a horseshoe zipper on every bag. I use my 2200 bag for virtually everything, unless I am going in more than 4 days, which isn't very often. The roll top, no side pockets and horsehoe zipper are perfect.

Add another vote for Multicam!

Also, feature request on the hip belt -

Please add more attachment space on the belt than you do for the K3. I had the K2 and now own a K3. I appreciated the additional webbing length on the K2 more as it allowed me to attach an Ivory holster and pouch on my right hip. I can't do that with the K3. I also liked having a pouch and a tech pouch on the left side. The older K2 pouches fit with the FHF tech pouch on my K3, but not the newer K3 pouches.

Congrats on the Bull.

On the K3 belt, the length of the accessory webbing was a design limitation. Because of the velcro attachment system of the hipbelt to the lower I couldn't have the webbing run all the way to the back of it like we did on K2. It would have been constantly pulling on the velcro trying to peel it off the lower wings.

The K4 features two Molle panels now so you'll be able to run at least two accessories per side if you wanted. Over time we'll come out with a small compliment of accessories for attachments there. When we launch we'll have our standard hipbelt pouch, the Nalgene holder and most likely a low profile pocket for a cell phone.

My preference for pack/pocket layout.

Open side pockets for faster access to spotter and tripod similar to Exo K3 or Kifaru Timberline. Make them big so I can stuff rain gear at the bottom and at least an angled 80mm spotter on top.

Stretchy pockets at the bottom on both sides for stashing smaller gear or tripod feet or a rifle butt. The K4 are awesome on this prototype.

Either a stretchy pocket on the back like the K3 or two separated pockets like on the Timberline. It would be sweet if the stretchy pocket material could be totally zipped out and replaced with an orange one for rifle hunts.

Access to the main bag is nice from the top in combination with either a side zip or a zipper around the bottom. I don't really care which. Center zips are nice but I prefer having the pockets.

The new lid is great and I don't think I would change it.

Good to hear on the attachment to the hip belt

Keep up the good work.

@S&S ARCHERY

100% this! Like the original 5500 with the updated stretchy pocket.
