Are most folks upgrading to auto lock buckles on every strap? If not which strap(s) would be the best to upgrade to auto locks if any?

Thanks!

Just the top cross strap on mine for my tripod, and only because they added one with the pack

I like the exo auto locks more than others, but I still prefer standard buckles, never had any problems with them that wasn’t very easy to remedy

Finally mounted my 2200 bag today and loaded it, and it’s a sleek bag, for those worried about height, the frame is the main factor, the new bag is a great profile for day hunts… it will be my archery roosie bag for sure. Pretty much the same height as my 3600 without a lid.

I figured that was going to be the case, the exo team kicks ass with purpose driven design

I switched the meat buckles. I use them to hold my weight when training. I have found the you have to pull the tight and then push down the locks to make them stay tight.

I replaced the meat shelf buckles. After lots of pack training I noticed they would loosen over time (miles).

Anyone have any problems with the shoulder straps digging into your side? While fitting my pack the termination point where the straps connect to the hip belt dig into my ribs. It's not the buckle per say, it's a weird pressure created by the stitching I think? Curious if anyone else is having this? It's not a lot but enough that I notice it. On my K3 I never felt this.

With the 26.5 stays I noticed the 1 inch webbing against my ribs a touch and loosening the sternum strap helped. With 25 inch stays I have not noticed it.

Please take some photos of you wearing the loaded pack (full-length photos from the front and side) and send those to us: [email protected]. We will get you dialed-in!

I noticed when i first got my K4 that the shoulder straps felt like they digged in at the ends, but i dont actually think they were digging in, i think it was just where they terminated and it was in a different spot than i was used it, after a few hikes i never noticed it anymore. But like Mark said send some photos in so they can get you sorted just incase.

I did on my right side where im a little bulkier than my left. It’s right where the shoulder strap padding ends. On my kifaru packs the padding ends higher or I have the length set shorter, and there’s a little less padding not as dense. On the K4 it’s opposite, not that any of this is an issue. I just need to find the sweet spot on adjustment. I think I need to do the micro adjustment to try to lengthen it a bit more to move that pressure point down where the strap just starts to come off the body. Great pack overall. Carries better than my two kifaru packs overall. Hip belt is amazing.

I looked back through a few pages of this thread but didn’t find any thing. Was there a rokslide code or code for free shipping? I’m about to order a 2200

i don`t remember a free shipping discount code, but they did offer a link for earlier ordering for rokslide members when they released the K4.
