EXO K4 Now or Wait for the EXO K4X

So I’m assuming the email only went out to the 1st or 2nd round selected folks, which is fine but can a link be shared so other’s can to look at the pack?
I don’t think the guys that got that should share.
If Exo wanted it out to everyone they would have posted it.
No diff than sharing discounts company’s give out.
It's obviously not meant to be public.

@Mark at EXO the video noted next years bags would have ultra lite features. Can you give an approximate further weight savings with them? Still running the k2 and k3 frames and want to see if time to switch. Thanks
Video said target was under 4# for all up ultralight systems and that Steve had 3#8oz prototypes of the design

I dont understand the bino bra ?

That's why I asked Mark at EXO if it could be shared. He can easily tell me no, and that's cool.
I fail to see how this is like sharing discounts? You can't buy one of these packs unless you're selected, so there's no way to buy one even if I wanted to, which I do not.
The pack is not a secret; they have been talking about it for years, and some versions have been seen at recent trade shows.
I was simply asking a question.

I think they are trying to get a bunch of different people from different areas who hunt totally different things to try them out. First run I’m assuming are going to the guys probably doing Sheep/Goats would be my guess. I was picked and I’m stoked to try something new just to change things up.

Hopefully it arrives for Stone sheep opener, I owe my partner a 40”+ ram.

Looking forward to getting this thing wet and trying something new. This will be my first exo. I ordered the accessory kit, and the dry bag.

@Mark at EXO are there any goals later on to match fabric for the rifle holder? Wish I could have grabbed that from the get go to match.

I’m praying at some point they do a giant bag with for us BC boys. 8500ci main or something silly like that with similar material. I volunteer as a tester. I hate meat shelves

Nice flex.

What’s the benefit of a huge pack size? To carry all your gear and the meat back in one load? Can’t see why you’d ever need a 8-9k size pack unless it was a super cold hunt and you had lots of extra gear or it’s like a 15+ day hunt or something.

Some people pack the kitchen sink. Colder, longer hunts require more food and gear.

Packraft, supporting accessories, and 10+ days of food on the way in. Take out food and add a goat meat+cape for the exfill and I’ve stuffed a 7800 cu inch bag without room for fart. Packrafts really eat up space and I want mine internal to the bag to keep wear and tear limited.

I luckily made the 1st round. Looking forward to putting it to use chasing dall sheep in a little over 6 weeks. I got the 7200 and all the accessories. I shaved weight on a lot of my gear this year and this pack minus carrying the full drybag liner will really help go lighter.

You going zero liner ? And rain cover ? I was thinking for packraft days il still be using full dry bag but up above treeline i will just use dcf drybag liners and sacks like i have with the terminus

Maybe alil seam seal on the k4x ?

Give ours an honest try. Fast, easy, effective. Especially after you've done it a time or two.

It’s not a knock on the exo meat shelf. My issue is the stuff that happens because of it.
I’d rather not smell like a bloody animal all down my back and pants on a multi day hunt and including to soaking the bag material or contents where you can’t get out for a few days and are forced because of logistics to camp.

I’ve tried multiple different kinds of bags like thick contractor garbage bags, Kuiu, sea to summit and landed on an overly heavy Sealine bag as it’s the only one that hasn’t leaked mainly due to the welded seams and essentially rubber.

I got tired of having wash every single thing down to my tent inner, sleep bag, pad, spare clothing and the pack system itself as it’s been soaked in blood.

The dry bag meat in the bag approach gives a better ride as it keeps the load higher up on your back depending how you load it and way closer to your center of gravity without jacking the pack with your existing gear further away from the cog.

A few more Cu in of bag for me simplifies it. Not to mention being a big human at 260/6’7” when you have everything in XXL or XLT the size of everything eats up bag space. Sleeping bags/quilts /pads are generally alot bigger.
