Great podcast you guys just put out about this and EXO's plans for the future. I am always pleased to hear that you guys are just happy to keep running the business and not do what every other company seems to want to do these days. You guys make great stuff - my K2 (with K3 belt) is still running strong...

Exo includes a couple auto locks when you buy a pack and you can choose where you want them, you can also order more directly from them.

I’ve had every gen of Exo, my k4 did not nor was it an option at time of order but I did buy 5 and tshirt last week…

Weird, both my k4 bags came with 2 of them.

I have the initial k4 release, they came with extra buckle but not auto locks. My order date I think was 5/23, regardless the loosing straps have been changed out. Checked order, I spent $12 for 4 (not 5) w/ EXO, in which I felt was more than far.

From the prototype photos it’s looking like a return to the side pockets with top access, and the front face pocket as a top open stuff pocket. Big fan of these choices if you all are considering them [mention]Mark at EXO [/mention]!! Love the brown color too, was expecting only gray.

I've waited this long, I can wait another. Why announce something 13+ months in advance in the hunting world? That's a lifetime and nobody will even remember the press release.

Agreed. I was half holding out to see it in person. I’ve now lost interest. Gave me time to think and not even sure the weight savings matters to me. Seems everything that goes uber light also becomes less durable.

Probably wouldn’t be an issue but I would wait a few months to buy and hear reports of folks who did. At this point it would be nearly 2028 until they had been in the field long enough to get good reviews.

Probably just buy another Kifaru pack and call it good.

To anyone speculating on the bags. I wouldn't read to much into any prototype pictures. According to numerous conversations with Steve, bags are easy to design and he's really focused primarily on the frame.
I think he's trying a few different ideas at this point but there's very likely to be changes.
I'm currently using a k4x frame with regular k4 bag.
