I wanted a quality turkey vest but I didn't want to spend a couple hundred buck on one. So, I took the backpack straps and belt off my K3 to use as the base for a DIY turkey vest. I used a seatbelt with some velcro each end as straps to connect the backpack straps to my belt. I attached my lid to the backpack straps. Bought some cordura fabric from ripstop by the roll for my bird bag. Sewed the bird bag and attached it with buckles. So far I like the product. I am still figuring out the best way to attach a seat cushion. The first pic is the k3 without the frame and the second pic is the bird bag I made. I used the seatbelt with velcro to attach the straps to the belt as you can see in the first photo. It will be a more streamlined turkey vest with just the two pouches on the belt for calls and such. The lid will carry bigger items like snacks. IMG_4950.JPEGIMG_5012.JPEG
