I am going to be purchasing a new pack this winter/spring and need input on 2 packs I have never actually put my hands on. I am looking for a light weight daypack with meat hauling capabilities. There are a ton of reviews online on the Exo packs and everyone seems to really enjoy them. I also was looking at the seek outside packs and they look killer as well and are super light and waterproof which is a big deal for me hunting western Washington and Alaska and eliminates the need to run a dry bag on the inside of the pack. That being said there is not a ton of reviews on the seek packs online. I'm open to all suggestions and info from anyone who owns either of these pack systems to help me figure out which one to pull the trigger on. Thanks guys

On this website, everyone will recommend the Exo before seek outside.
99% of them have never owned or used a seek outside.
There's a good thread over on seek outsides forums on the preregrine pack and pics and real life use.
Both are good solid packs and you won't go wrong with either. I have a preregrine and a couple other seek outside packs. I'm 6'4" and like the taller frame, I don't get any lift with any exo if I have any significant weight on it.
I also prefer the xpac fabric and the belt. How the frame fits and sits so close is also a big deal to me. Just a matter of comfort for my build and body.
As far as size and capabilities of what you're looking for in a pack, either would work, just need to try them both for yourself throw some gear and weight on them and decide which you prefer on you!

Thanks for the info like I said there is a ton of info on the Exo and not a lot on the seek so I'm trying not to buy a pack blind haha. Is the xpac fully waterproof in your opinion ? Also does the seek revo suspension belt have pals webbing on it so I could fit my kifaru belt pouches on it that I already own ? Also could you run a lid with the peregrine too ?

If you want fully waterproof youd want no zippers (fortress style bags) Water will find it's way in after long enough. But they are covered with a flap and they do a good job.
Yes it has pals, yes you could attach your pouches you have.
And yes you could run a lid if you wanted to.

Where are you located in Wa? If your close I have an exo 2000 you can check out. I am in Redmond and work in Seattle.

I have tried both the exo and seek outside. Both are excellent packs imo. Dave C. would be a good one to talk to, he does a lot at seek outside and helped me a ton when I went in to buy a shelter.

Colersu22 I'm down in grays harbor county but I work sometimes in south snohomish county if I get up that way again for work sometime in the next month or two I will get ahold of you and check it out thanks a lot man. I know they are bulletproof packs It would be nice to actually put one on my back before dropping $600

I have owned both. The 2nd generation Exo (not the K2) and the Evolution SO that I converted to the Revolution. Both are very nice and handle loads well. The Exo is probably a better designed pack from a funtional standpoint as far as pockets and Access and stuff but I have a 6300 SO and not the Peregrine. I have a lid and side zip and a big Hydro Day talon. The system works well. The SO pack is more comfortable for me with loads in it and is lighter and seems more stable. It is not a "fancy" in my opinion and does not work as well in daypack mode. I have hauled loads off the mountain with both and they are both comfortable and more than capable. I kept the SO and sold the Exo. If I was looking for a daypack that could handle a load when need be, I'd have kept the Exo. I prefer the load hauling capability of the SO and use the Talon for my day activities. The SO is just lighter and stiffer and handles loads better for me than the Exo. The belt is more comfortable to me and holds better. Nothing wrong with either pack. Both companies will allow you to try them out for 30 days without penalty to return them. I suggest doing that. You really can't go wrong and just need to see what works best for you and what you are looking for in a pack.
