Exo Experience Challenge

I’ve been following along the podcast and it sounds a great opportunity, and a great reason to get a lot of people serious about fitness and shooting

I got a spot for both the sheep and goat. My hunting partner got in also, should be a fun way to keep grinding through the offseason in prep for September. Would be awesome to actually draw one of the hunts but the odds are still pretty slim.

I'm jumping on the goat challenge in mostly as inspiration to get my shit together not as much for the chance at the hunt.

Agreed. It’s not necessarily going to change what I am up to all that much but extra motivation is always good! And on the off chance I won a hunt… that would be something.

I'm in for both.
I did 500 step ups with 30lbs the other day.
1000 with 45 is going to be legit.
Honestly, the 1000 worried me at first, the past few weeks I did 500, 600, 700 with 43 lbs in the pack. Pretty tough while doing it but I didn’t have doms or excessive fatigue, so doable. 800 Wednesday morning - we will see. I’ll be interested to see how it all shakes out. Could be really great, could be frustrating, but something new and different at least!

Im surprised this is the first thread on this. I got in for both. Im actually really looking forward to this challenge for the mental side of it. Also, the physical part. The step ups im already working on. Lol.
I was surprised as well. But I didn't want to make a post until after I got my spot😂

Most expensive T Shirt I've ever bought. I'll be interested to see how much of a commitment it will be and how many won't make it to the end. With a sheep hunt on the line, I doubt many will quit. Slim odds but sounds like there may some gear giveaways as well.
Slim odds, but still good odds. Better odds then drawing a tag.

Ill be curious how many guys drop, or end up not being able to make a challenge due to life, etc.

I’d bet of the 500 who got a slot 200 drop out for one reason or another before the drawing in July.

This worried me as well so Ive done 1000 with 36 lbs a couple times now. When I finished the first time my wife asked why I was so wet but honestly I’m not sure if it’s harder mentally or physically. I anticipate 45 to be tougher but we have a lot of time to get reps in before it’s required. I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to the monotony of it though.

I agree, I think it’s probably 80% mental. However doing it day after day if you haven’t prepared for it, then I imagine fatigue would start to set in.
