EXO 3500 for 4-5 day hunt?

It obviously depends on your gear and how you tend to pack. I have the K2 2000 and can get 2 nights from it. For longer hunts I got the K2 5500 because I figure the cost in weight is so minimal I would rather have the extra space and not need it than need it and not have it.

Well, I’m looking for a 3500, guess I could take that one off of your hands so you could get the 4800!

Well, even if I did, you wouldn't save any money over new. It is literally a few weeks old and has never been out of my garage. Plus, I will have something new to buy in a couple years when I pass my K2 down to my daughter.😁

I’ve also got a question about pack fit. Sorry, I know it’s a little off topic but since I’ve got EXO pack owners on here I figure I can get some answers. I’m only 5’6” with a 16” torso, and I was wondering how these packs fit the shorter torso.

Anybody similar in size?
I’m similar in size and had no problem with the torso length. My problem was the belt size. I wear a 30” pant and the small belt fit well until I got it loaded over 50#. I needed more adjustment. Had to swap to a Kifaru frame to get the XS belt, but I’m still running the exo bag on it...no plans of swapping but if EXO started making an XS belt I might consider it.

I believe they told my brother they would custom make a xs belt for his son if he wanted. You might give them a call.

I meant to say, after talking to the guys at EXO I believe the changes are going to be worth the wait.

Exo will absolutely make you an extra small belt if you need one. The belts on the new frame will have a built in 2" adjustment for guys that are between belt sizes.

I'm seriously looking into getting an EXO 3500, and I'm l just wondering if the 3500 will do 4-5 days for me in Colorado and the Boundary Waters. I've thought of just waiting for the new 4800 they're coming out with, but I really like what I see in the current bags. I just don't want the bag to big for still hunting whitetails with a longbow here in Indiana.
When is it due out?

They told me they were coming out in June and shipping around July 1st.

I hope it’s sooner. I want some time with it before I head out Sept 1.

I have an EXO 3500 and would say it's the perfect size for 5 days. I utilize the smaller space to my advantage so that I'm not carrying around a ton of gear that I don't need (been there, done that). One could even get a few more days out of it, if you packed correctly.

The 3500 is a great pack for 4 days. If you are looking to go past 6 days it becomes a little more of challenge, but still doable.

I'm pretty sure the 5500 and the 3500 pack down to almost the exact same size when they are empty. Essentially the roll top is just taller on the 5500 to give it the extra volume. The great thing about the new products coming out, is that they will fit the K2 frames as well. If the new 4800 is the right bag, then you only have to buy the bag and not the whole new system. Same with the new belts. I believe they said that there was just certain accessories that will not fit the new frames. I have the 5500, I figured if I was dropping that kind of coin on a pack I was going to get the most versatile one I could get. It cinches down to a day pack or I can haul all the family gear. Comfort with either load is unbelievable

I have a 3500 I would like to get off my hands. I can do the bag only or include the belt with it. Let me know.

5500. It tightens down perfect and I've actually needed the rest Xtra space at times
