Seriously it is almost as if this bag was designed for a Kifaru frame. After spending a min breaking the 1" buckles off and replacing all of them with itw hardware it took seriously less then a minute to mount the bag. So befor anyone complains to Steve that they didn't get coyote buckles and web keeper, I added these.

I used 4 Kifaru k clips, 2 on each side, to mount the side attachment points. I ran the bottom webbing through the common loops on the bottom of the frame and the top sleeve fits right over the frame and perfectly allows for use of the top and next to top shoulder strap attachment points. I also could of pulled the top common loops through and use these to mount a lid.

I did get a complete cargo panel strap kit bit really about half the kit is needed, I like extra stuff I guess.

The spotting scope pocket easily fit my Vanguard 82a spotter and my tripod strapped in just as easy as Steve shows in his video.

Overall initial impression is very good. I like the layout of the bag and I added 3 mesh stash pockets to the inside as well. I have only stuffed it with blankets but I'm liking it. I doubt I run a lid on it, really see no need for it when used as a day pack. I have a hanging meat bag between the bag and frame and the pack will easily extend from the frame when using the Kifaru k clips.

Yes you can, it is under their accessories page if your interested and prix varies.

Could you post a few pics of the hidden lid? I'm still trying to decide if it is worth getting the 2000 bag to put on my 15' exo frame instead of the 3500 bag.

Thanks,

Chris

Take two of the 3/4'' Gatekeeper Tensionlocks from your Kuiu and attach them to the loops below the bottom common loops on the Kifaru and thread those lower EXO straps thru those and then to the EXO ones. It will hold the bag pulled down into the sleeve. Sorry don't have a pic handy.

Mine will be here Thursday am doing the same thing. I already use the 5500 on the Kifaru Frame. They are very good match together. cant wait to use this. Really curious how much gear I can get into the 2000 Im thinking possibly enough for an overnight. I am also going to putting a Grab it on it and a Lid from the 5500 but may try my Kifaru Guide lid too.

I'm liking this setup a lot but am curious. Can you still put the meat or quarters between the bag and frame? I know the Exo is designed for it but wondering how it works with the bag on a Kifaru frame. If so it sounds like a perfect setup for what I'm looking for.

Yup you can, same exact way Steve does it in the video minus the velcro.

I don't see a need for this really, bag naturally attaches exactly as a Kifaru bag does.

Dotman excuse the questions but what are you referring to when you say works the same way minus the Velcro? Thanks for the help.

If you watch the video, when he removes the load lifter straps he pulls apart a Velcro attachment point on the sleeve over the frame. Not sure why they decid d to add the Velcro in the sleeve, see no need for it really. On the kifaru frame there is no Velcro attachment point so it isn't used.

I think you'll find that you can get more then you think in it.
