Obviously there's always a ton of awesome gear being reviewed and discussed on here and it's probably one of the best places to discover new companies and products. I thought it would be cool if people shared some brands they think are creating innovative products or creative solutions that might not be on peoples radar for whatever reason.

This could be newer start-ups, established brands that have a unique approach, or outdoor companies that aren't tied directly to the hunting world but make gear that is a good fit for backcountry hunts.

Personally I like to support brands that give back to the hunting world in a tangible way(event sponsorships, conservation, etc.) when possible but I also want the best tool for the job and often that means stepping outside the hunting sphere.

Not a secret on Rokslide, but Wiser Precision has really shown up with some innovative designs that fill a niche. I have the bino adapter, the 3rd leg, the Quick Stix system and the pulleys.

Some people consider these a novelty, but for backcountry fishing, I really like these HandyPak nets: https://www.handypaknetco.com/

They fold up super compact and fit in your pack. Carrying a full size net around on the exterioir of my pack seems impactical.

Also not a secret on Rokslide, but Unknown Munitions and their related/subsidiary brands are doing quite a bit of innovation on a number of fronts that are hunting related, that other parts of the shooting world could benefit from too. Some of the LSWild gear is pretty useful, too, especially for Western big game and rifle shooting.

On the apparel side, a non-hunting brand worth keeping tabs on is Beringia, particularly for the light-and-fast crowd.

They have some misses, but relative to most of the rest of the outdoor apparel world, they stand out for being willing to try new fabrics, fits, aesthetics, and overall approaches to layering. Most recently got their Dragonfly ultralight rain kit and it's super appealing on paper; now it just needs to finally rain in CO...
